Earnshaw will consider these questions through the wisdom of Henri Nouwen, a Dutch Catholic priest who is considered by many to be one of the great spiritual teachers of the 20th century. Earnshaw will begin with an introduction to Nouwen and then explore his vision for living loss as a person on a spiritual journey. The talk will invite listeners to consider such themes as the gift of gentleness, befriending death, choosing joy, developing a daily practice of contemplative prayer and more.
