Sarah Koh Appointed as Director, Development & Alumni Relations
Nov 12, 2025
Corpus Christi-St. Mark’s College at UBC is pleased to announce the appointment of Sarah Koh as Director, Development and Alumni Relations, effective November 17, 2025.
In this role, Sarah will provide strategic leadership for the Colleges’ fundraising, alumni engagement, and philanthropic initiatives. Working closely with the President/Principal and the Advancement Committee, she will guide efforts to secure major and transformational gifts, build donor and alumni relationships, and strengthen the Colleges’ long-term sustainability through mission-aligned advancement strategies.
“Sarah brings exceptional experience and creativity to this role,” said Dr. Gerry Turcotte, President of St. Mark’s and Corpus Christi Colleges. “Her expertise in donor engagement, innovative program design, and faith-centered philanthropy aligns perfectly with the Colleges’ mission. We are thrilled to welcome her to our leadership team.”
Sarah joins the Colleges from the University of British Columbia, where she served as Donor Relations Officer. In that role, she led multi-phase stewardship strategies supporting donors across the $1–$1M+ spectrum, developed institution-wide donor recognition programs, and directed high-impact communications that strengthened donor loyalty and increased engagement.
She also brings experience from UBC’s Sauder School of Business, where she supported campaign operations, endowment reporting, and executive-level communications, as well as from her independent consulting work in event planning and communications for major community organizations. Her background in faith-based philanthropy includes time at Union Gospel Mission, where she strengthened mission-driven donor engagement and deepened community partnerships rooted in service and compassion.
“I’m inspired by St. Mark’s and Corpus Christi Colleges’ commitment to faith-based education and community,” said Sarah. “Having attended Catholic schools myself, I’ve seen how education grounded in faith and service shapes compassionate, community-minded leaders. In this role, I look forward to building on that foundation by deepening relationships with donors, alumni, and students, and helping to strengthen the Colleges’ presence in both the local and academic communities.”
Sarah’s experience in faith-based philanthropy and higher education will be invaluable in leading advancement initiatives that reflect the Colleges’ Catholic identity and strengthen relationships with donors and alumni. We look forward to welcoming Sarah as Director, Development and Alumni Relations and thank Kim Peterson for her service as interim Director.
