New Scholarship Opportunity for Women in the Diocese of Victoria
Nov 18, 2024
St. Mark’s College at UBC is delighted to announce a new scholarship opportunity in partnership with the Diocese of Victoria, aimed at supporting women pursuing theological education.
The Blessed Marie Anne Blondin Award Fund will provide an annual award of $1500.00 to support a deserving woman within the Diocese of Victoria. This scholarship is intended to assist recipients in pursuing theological education or programs related to service in the Catholic Church, including religious education, pastoral work, liturgy, social justice, social action, holistic living, healthy lifestyle programs, and employment training.
This initiative is made possible through the generous support of the Sisters of Saint Ann. In line with the mission of the Sisters of Saint Ann, this award aims to empower women who are on a limited income and are seeking personal growth through education, enabling them to actively serve their communities.
Eligibility Criteria: Priority will be given to female candidates residing within the Diocese of Victoria. Applicants should demonstrate financial need and a commitment to using their education to serve others. The scholarship is open to those pursuing either on-campus or online studies.
Online Learning Opportunities: St. Mark’s College offers flexible online courses via Zoom, allowing students from diverse locations, including outside Vancouver, to earn their degrees remotely. Our live, interactive classes foster a vibrant community of learners, promoting real-time engagement with instructors and peers.
Application Process: Applications for the Blessed Marie Anne Blondin Award Fund are now open. Interested candidates should submit their applications online through the St. Mark’s College website by May 15.
