The Rev. Dr. Ross Lockhart reflects on the current state of ministry in BC and the Yukon, and proposes opportunities for growth.
Join us for an inspiring discussion on this thought-provoking lecture! The event will be interactive, with group discussions for the participants. A reception will follow.
The Rev. Dr. Ross Lockhart is the Dean of St. Andrew’s Hall, the Presbyterian Church in Canada college at the University of British Columbia. As Dean, Ross also teaches at Vancouver School of Theology as the Professor of Mission Studies. Ross holds a PhD from Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam and is the author of West Coast Mission: the Changing Nature of Christianity in Vancouver; Lessons from Laodicea: Missional Leadership in a Culture of Affluence; and Beyond Snakes and Shamrocks: St. Patrick’s Missional Leadership Lessons for Today; co-author of Better Than Brunch: Missional Churches in Cascadia as well as Christianity: An Asian Religion in Vancouver and editor of Christian Witness in Cascadian Soil and The Continuing Witness of the Missional Church. Ross lives with his family on Bowen Island, B.C.
Parking is available in the College parking lot, but spaces are very limited and it will be a first-come, first-served basis. There will be more attendees than parking spaces. The nearest parkade is North Parkade, which is an under 10-minute walk to St. Mark’s College.
