In the Spirit of Reconciliation is a one-hour film journey that begins with the question, “How do we forgive?” The question is explored through the personal accounts of residential school survivors in Canada’s North West Territories. In the Spirit of Reconciliation confronts the history of the residential school system in the North, and bears witness to the courageous efforts of survivors who strive towards reconciliation and healing.

It is a timely film and enters into delicate subject matter. The film strives to close the divide between aboriginal people and non-aboriginals in a true effort of reconciliation. It will inform non-aboriginal Canadians, especially Catholics, to a brutal reality in our society and offer First Nations people a look at how healing is underway in the north.
