An Ignatian Response to Migrant in Our Midst

Responding to Our Migrant Neighbors: Insights from St. Ignatius of Loyola

As global migration increases, communities are more frequently engaging in conversations about how to respond to those who have moved whether locally or nationally. Navigating our personal and communal response to this complex reality can be challenging.

In this talk, Fr. Andrew Laguna will explore how the spiritual tradition of St. Ignatius of Loyola can guide us in responding compassionately and thoughtfully to our neighbors who have experienced migration. Drawing on the themes of freedom, call, and discernment from the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius, Fr. Laguna will offer practical tools and reflections to help anyone seeking to honor the dignity of those who migrate.

This session provides an Ignatian framework for approaching migration with awareness, care, and discernment.
