
David Creamer was born and raised in Saint John, N.B. He entered the Society of Jesus of Upper Canada (Jesuits) in 1969 and was ordained to the Priesthood in 1977. He is Superior of the Jesuit Community in Winnipeg, Manitoba. David is also an Associate Professor at St. Paul’s College, University of Manitoba. These days, he teaches in the B.Ed. and graduate programs in the Faculty of Education, and offers courses in Catholic Studies and Peace and Conflict Studies in the Faculty of Arts. Each August, he conducts a popular Field Study Program in India. For ten years, David was Editor of Perspective, a semi-annual journal of Catholic and Ignatian thought published by the Jesuit Centre for Catholic Studies at the University of Manitoba. He is author of several articles, book chapters, and a book of his own, Guides for the Journey: John Macmurray, Bernard Lonergan, James Fowler (University Press of America, 1996). David taught at Gonzaga High School in St. John's, Nfld. (1971-74) and was the Director of St. Paul's High School, Winnipeg (1982-1988).
