Catholic Social Teaching is about building a society based on justice and living lives of holiness amidst the opportunities and challenges of living in society. This course is an overview of Catholic social teaching, focusing on major themes that reflect the Church’s commitment to the poor and vulnerable as founded on the life and words of Jesus Christ, and as developed through the Church’s teaching magisterium, especially papal encyclicals and Vatican statements.
