2011 - Winter (Jan-Apr) - A New Mission for a New Millenium
Title:
A New Mission for a New Millenium
Instructor:
Archbishop J. Michael Miller, CSB Description:
The expression "New Evangelization" was popularized in the encyclical of Pope Paul VI, Evangelization in the Modern World, as a response to the new challenges that the contemporary world creates for the mission of the Church. Pope John Paul II saw the need for a “great relaunching” of evangelization in the present life of the Church in a variety of ways. In Mission of The Redeemer (Redemptoris Missio), John Paul II presented a new synthesis of the Church’s teaching about evangelization in modern times. Join Archbishop J. Michael Miller for this one-day course as he invites us to consider the implications that the New Evangelization has for our daily life in the world as people of faith.
